Helen’s Catering Response to Coronavirus (Covid-19)

As our country and the International community band together in the wake of the Coronavirus (COVID- 19) pandemic, we’d like to personally update you on the precautionary measures we at Helen’s Catering are taking. Our priority is to ensure the safety of all employees, customers, and the wider community while providing our quality catering services.

The safety and wellbeing of our employees and customers are paramount and will remain our top priority as we encourage everyone to remain calm but vigilant at this challenging time.  We would like to assure you that all steps are being taken to mitigate the risk of transmission of infection within our business and catering and delivery service.

As we continue to navigate through this, our guiding principles remain: to keep all of our customer’s, our premises and our employees safe; to continue to serve our customers with the highest standards; to do our part to slow community spread of the virus so that the most vulnerable people are able to get the care they need; and to support all of our customers, staff members, and teams through what is uncharted territory, ensuring that support is available and clear communication and direction are given.

While we have always maintained excellent standards of hygiene and cleanliness, we have introduced a number of additional measures to reduce the risk of infection and keep our communities safe. These are the NSW Government Health guidelines which include:

  • All staff have completed a Covid-19 Awareness of Food Safety course (online)
  • A Covid-19 Food Safety plan has been created
  • Additional Hygiene and sanitation measures in our kitchen, catering events & while making deliveries.
  • Increased food safety measures and sanitation of our kitchen before preparation begins.
  • Minimising person to person contact within our service environment.
  • Clear communication outlining the steps to take should an employee present as unwell, a mandatory 14-day self-isolation and quarantine will apply to all employees at Helen’s Catering that have come into direct contact with the Coronavirus or anyone displaying symptoms.

In addition to this, we are ensuring that any staff that shows any signs of illness or have travelled overseas are quarantined at home.

Our processes will evolve where necessary as we continue to comply with advice from the government and other relevant agencies with regards to COVID-19.

We have made some significant changes to our business and introduced NEW menu items including Helen’s Home Favourites, meals she cooks at home for her family and have updated our Ezy DIY (Food only) and Fully Catered Menus.

So it’s not business as usual but we ARE IN  BUSINESS and fully operational!

We would encourage you to continue to support your local businesses while it is safe to do so. We wish you and your families well as you navigate this difficult time in our history.
